Privacy Policy
CoughWise does not collect your data.
Recording, playback, analysis, scoring, reports, corrections, reminders, profiles, purchase entitlement checks, and exports run on your iPhone.
Your bedroom audio is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to KeenShift or a third party.
What stays on your iPhone
- Night audio recordings and possible cough-like events
- Cough Scores, reports, corrections, sensitivity choices, and sleeper profiles
- Local-notification and audio-retention preferences
- PDF, CSV, or image exports until you choose to share them
What we collect
Nothing. CoughWise has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud storage, or audio upload. The App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.” Apple processes App Store purchases under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy; KeenShift does not receive your bedroom audio or in-app wellness records.
Permissions
Microphone access is requested only when you start a night. Notification access is optional and requested only when you turn gentle reminders on — from More, or from the button CoughWise offers after a night. Buying Premium never triggers it. Notifications are scheduled locally. You can change either permission in iOS Settings.
Your control
You can remove old local audio automatically, purge saved audio, delete individual nights, or use “Delete All Local Data” in CoughWise. Because KeenShift has no server copy, deletion happens on your iPhone. Deleting the app also removes its local container under iOS behavior.
