Use CoughWise as a private wellness and awareness aid, not as medical care.

Not a medical device

CoughWise does not diagnose, screen for, treat, cure, or prevent any illness or condition. Its detector is imperfect: cough-like sounds may be missed and other sounds may be counted. Scores, trends, reports, reminders, and exports are estimates for awareness and are not medical advice. If a cough persists, is severe, or gets worse, seek a qualified medical professional.

Your recordings

You are responsible for using recording features lawfully and respecting other people nearby. Recordings stay on your device unless you explicitly export or share them.

Free and Premium access

The free tier includes recording, Cough Scores, corrections, recent nights, the seven-night trend, and on-device morning reports. Premium can unlock unlimited history, longer trends, the full event library, multiple sleeper profiles, weekly summaries, and numbers export.

Purchases

CoughWise Premium is a single one-time non-consumable purchase. It is not a subscription: there is no free trial, it does not renew, and there is nothing to cancel. The price is confirmed by Apple before purchase and charged once to your Apple Account. Restore Purchases is available in the app and on your other Apple devices. Customers who bought a monthly or yearly CoughWise subscription before we moved to one-time pricing keep their access; those plans are no longer sold and can be cancelled in Apple Account Settings.

Availability

We work to keep local recording reliable, but device storage, microphone permissions, interruptions, operating-system behavior, or hardware can affect capture. CoughWise labels a recovered or interrupted capture as partial and uses recorded time rather than assuming a full night.
